About:
In accordance to the global trend and the formation of digital society, the Digital Education Institute (DEI) extends the decades achievements (completed more than 337,000 persons of talents) in the cultivation of ICT professionals for Taiwan industry, and repositions itself as “the engine to breed the industrial development”. The new position also expects DEI to create an integrated learning environment and services, to distribute multiple kinds of professional knowledge, and to assist DEI customers to be successful.
In order to meet domestic industry needs and international trend, DEI has been consigned with the following missions:
- Offer various kinds of on-the-job training and elite training, in order to meet industrial changes.
- Apply e-learning technology to innovate learning methodology and courseware design.
- Draw up professional skill standards, and integrate the linkage from training, certification to job-matching.
- Shrink digital divides between rural and urban districts.
- Survey and analyze industrial needs about talents training, in order to match changes of industry development.
For making the missions be effective, DEI designs four categories of courses:
- ICT Technology (i.e. database, programming, internet, etc.)
- IT Enabled Services (i.e. supply chain management, customer relationship management, business intelligence, etc.)
- Digital Contents (i.e. digital game, animation, e-learning, etc.)
- Operational Management (i.e. project management, industry analysis, technology management, etc.)
The business features are:
- Complete Training Program: DEI designs various kinds of training program in the fields such as ICT technology, e-learning, digital contents, industry applications, etc. to meet industrial needs.
- International-level e-Learning Courseware: DEI passes 2005 ASTD (American Society Training & Development) E-learning Courseware Certification (ECC), which is the first Asian nation to obtain the honor.
- Certified Instructor Teams: DEI has nearly one hundred instructors, who have 160 certificates in total. Plus the part-time instructors working at the industry, DEI can support the curriculum with good quality.
- Efficient Training Environment: DEI supports licensed software and internet environment to enhance training efficiency. In addition, DEI has built several training sites all over the nation to meet local needs. The overall training capacity can accommodate 1600 persons simultaneously.
- Accredited Services: The graduated trainees have built good reputation in the industry for the past decades, therefore DEI can offer accredited services to help trainees find a job. The job-matching rate is more than 90% in average. Moreover, DEI grants tuition loan for the poor students to help them complete the training and start a new career as well.
