Hi all,
We have implementations (sync and ref agents) of all of the LIS services, supporting all operations except discovery. We also have a ref and sync agent for the BDEMS specifciation. However, we're very much aware that we've been building this in isolation, and it is time to see how well we 'play with others'. I would be very interested in hearing from any other members that have (or are close to having) LIS implementations that we might share some dummy data with. Please can you get in touch with me (via this thread or email: pjn@psydev.com) |

All,
I am working on creating a sample createPerson request for an itegration project but I am coming up against an error. The request and response can be found here http://pastebin.com/An4xwS7S At the core of the error message is <imsx_codeMinorFieldName>TargetEndSystem</imsx_codeMinorFieldName> <imsx_codeMinorFieldValue>unknownvocab</imsx_codeMinorFieldValue> I understand that the meaning of the error message, from the specification is 1. that the request has referenced a vocabulary file that does not sexist -OR- 2. I have used Vocabulary that does not exist in the vocabulary files. But I cannot see the problem in the request, can someone help me out? Thanks and kind regards, Rob |

Rob,
On a quick check of the XML the corrections to be made are: 1) The 'imsx_version' should be set as 'V1.0'; 2) The two 'sourcedId' values should be the same (they are currently different); 3) The 'instanceVocabulary' values are invalid i.e. you must remove the 'vdex/' part of the strings. This would cause the 'unknownvocab' response. Try it with these changes. What service provider are you using? Colin S. ------------------------- Colin Smythe IMS GLC Chief Architect |

Hi Colin,
Thanks for getting back to me. I am usnig Phil's sample implementation on mordor to test sample messages. Am finding soapUi to be a very useful tool to both submit and generate sample messages and I'm investigating its use as a test framework. Rob |
