One of the use cases adopted by WebPA (an open soucre peer assessment tool) is that assessments may be created for students drawn from different modules/courses. In adapting WebPA to better enable LTI integration an alternative solution to this use case has been put forward: that is, to allow users launching WebPA from different contexts to all share the same area within the application. This is described in more detail in a blog post on the ceLTIc project website which also includes a screencast to show how this has been implemented using a simple "share key" as a custom parameter.
