Hi Everyone-

States are already beginning to ask for APIP (Accessible Portable Item Profile) in RFPs (Requests for Proposals).

Minnesota has posted suggested RFP on their APIP site. I've attached the same document here for anyone to download.

We are undertaking a bit of a risky early release on APIP. We have not had sufficient testing to put in place conformance testing. This will probably take another 6-8 months, depending on how quickly the industry responds. IMS is forming an APIP workgroup that will take on the formalization of the standard and maintenance. We have set up an Alliance community for those that would like to collaborate with IMS staff and other serious implementors. Through the Alliance we can work with you to move the realization of APIP along. The APIP states are supportive of this approach. The Alliance URL is here:
